Important Rate Information Our rates are quoted in U.S. dollars (the official currency of the United States of America).

These rates are valid from December 16, 2024 to December 15, 2026.

Cancellations: Cancellations made 48 hours but more before the tour date will receive a 100% refund.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours but up to 24 hours before the tour willreceive a 50% refund. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice are non-refundable.

All no-shows will incur a penalty of 100% of the reservation fee. In cases of cancellations due to “force majeure” circumstances, these will be evaluated by the Commercial Management team, who will provide a recommendation for approval by General Management for a potential refund.

The park reserves the right to cancel the tour due to weather conditions, thunderstorms, or any other phenomena that may pose a risk to the safety of customers or staff.

Segmentation policies:

Children under 4 years old are considered infants. They can participate in the butterfly garden, herpetarium, sloth habitat, and hanging bridges activities free of charge when accompanied by a guardian and/or parent. Infants are not allowed to participate in the canopy tour.

Children between the ages of 4 and 11 years old. They can participate in all activities at a special rate. For the canopy tour, it is at the discretion of the lead guide whether they can participate individually or need to be accompanied by a guide throughout the tour (provided the special harness fits the child’s waist).

Students are individuals between the ages of 11 and 18 who possess a valid credential issued by their educational institution. These credentials will be verified at the park to apply the special student rate. Those who do not present the required credentials will be charged the adult rate.

The National (locals) rate applies to all Costa Rican citizens who present a valid identity card and/or residents who present a valid residency card issued by the Ministry of Immigration and Foreign Affairs.

All foreigners who do not fall into the previous categories are considered adults.

Transportation: Selvatura Park offers free round-trip transportation from any hotel on our pickup list in and around the Monteverde area, as long as the client books the main activities or packages.

If the guest reserves individual visits to the Butterfly Garden or Herpetarium, transportation will incur an additional cost of $10 plus taxes per person, per way, based on available logistical schedules.
